145 days Left!

Wow, I didn't realize how difficult it would be to post daily. Sometimes the day just goes by so quickly.

148 Days Left
Friday I worked in "P"'s school. It was pancake day. Luckily I was the one that got to help the kids make paper pancake faces. I was scared they were going to ask me to make the pancakes. "P" had a great day. Working once a month in his classroom is really the only alone time I get to spend with "P". I am trying to be better about that. Poor kid definitely has middle child syndrome.

147-146 Days Left!!
We had a nice weekend. Saturday the big boys went with daddy to a baseball show and met some Yankee favorites. They got a picture with Don Mattingly. Very cool. I got to stay home and clean my closet. Not so cool! Sunday we we to the Ice Festival with the cousins. Luckily it wasn't to cold. The boys LOVE hanging out with their cousins, especially big cousin Richie.

145 Days Left!!
We have another messy winter week ahead. They are predicting snow Tuesday and Wednesday. Yuck! Stuck in the house again!

Over the weekend daddy took down the next size clothes for "S". Wow! My little boy is moving on to the toddler sizes. That T on the end of the 2 made me so sad. No more monthly clothes sizes. "S" is going to be off to college soon. Today "S" is wearing one of my favorite shirts, it says "I LOVE DIRT". I have a picture of "B" and "P" together and "P" is wearing it. I remember the day exactly. It was 2 years ago when my sister Jen and I took the boys to a train show here in town. It is amazing how clothes can bring back memories.

Today is ww weigh in day. According to my wii fit I should be down about 3 pounds. I am keeping my fingers crossed! Thank god for free fruits and vegetables. I am loving that. I have been keeping a bowl of grapes on my counter and just grab some when I am hungry.

149 Days Left!!

NYC was basically closed today. We had a 2 hour delay. The delay didn't effect my household. PM-K in session but no preschool on Thursdays. Luckily my husband was able to get out of the driveway to get to work.

I shoveled for about 1/2 hour until "S" woke up from his nap. It didn't look like I was outside at all. The day was ok until "B" came home from school and it was homework time. I have been trying to help "P" with his name so everyday I am having him practice while "B" does his homework. Today was torture. "P" whined that he can't write his name, "B" cried that he couldn't write number 13, 14, 15 and "S" wanted to be a part of the homework fun so he decided to continuously climb on the kitchen table while we did homework. When did Kindergarten become so hard? These days parents need to have a teaching degree to help their kids learn. Wait... don't I already have one? Daddy is on homework duty tomorrow!

WW seemed to be successful today. I guess I just didn't have time to think about it. Weigh in day is Monday. I'll see if the new plan is worth doing.

Why am I creating this blog?

My original plan was to start this blog when the first day of school started since this will be my last year as a SAHM forever. Of course life gets in the way.

I have been lucky enough to be able to work for the school system that allows me to take a 2 year unpaid leave after having a child. I was fortunate enough to take two of these leaves. I first had my son "B" age 5 in October 2005 and then returned to work after the normal maternity leave. I then found out I was pregnant with son #2, "P" in October 2006. After giving birth to him I took my first 2 year leave. After returning to work in 2008 I found out I was pregnant with son #3, "S" born in August 2009. I haven't returned to work since June 2009.

So I am constantly writing down things on little pieces of paper about funny things and of course crazy things that happen in my home raising 3 boys. These papers eventually end up in the garbage. I figured this would be a good place to do it. I have 150 days left as a SAHM!

Day 1: 150 days left!!
It couldn't be any prettier outside with the snow falling here in New York but another snow day (no school)!! Today is our 3rd snow day. Keeping my three boys busy and trying to stick to the new ww program hasn't been easy today. How many activity points can I get for yelling? Just kidding! What about shoveling snow? 53 days until SPRING!
